Years ago a Reddit commenter somewhere said that for the price of a HOTAS you can go fly a real plane with a flight instructor for an hour, and I took that advice, and it was awesome. The cheapest option that many seem to like as an entry-level HOTAS is the Thrustmaster T-Flight. Has a twisty stick and throttle. Twisty is for the rudder/yaw axis by default.Since 3.18.2 I've had no issues using both in-game but as pf 3.21 the flight stick's inputs aren't registering.
